~Update 6/30/16: I just found out that DA has this thing in their submissions agreement that essentially lets them give your art and your name to whoever they want without giving you credit for it. So I'm sorry if you enjoyed my work or were interested in seeing more. I will no longer be hosting my art on DA.

Hey guys, I'm Rachel. I'm a college student up in Tennessee. I usually do some art during my free time when I'm not working on my anthropology degree. I use Serif DrawPlus for all of my artwork. Occasionally I'll use stock images in my artwork in order to achieve my goals (I have a really hard time visualizing things). But I try to keep it limited and I'll usually do some kind of photo-manipulation with the images so that it matches my style (I use autotracing to get the effects).

Though I've been working with digital art sporadically over the past few years, I haven't really found my niche until I got DrawPlus this past August. It was just a program that I really liked better than others and I was able to just about anything I wanted even with only the free version. The bad thing though is that it can be a little slow if you have too much going on and the most recent version isn't compatible with Windows 10 (So heads up if your interested. It still works on mine, but it does tend to stall and/or crash more often in Windows 10 compared to Windows 8.). However, I do have a slightly outdated version. I have X6 while the newest version is X8.
